Swope Suzuki sells 100,000 Suzuki sold in 2006
Fresh off a record-setting 2006 sales year, in which the automaker eclipsed 100,000 vehicle sales for the first time in its 22-year history, American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) President Koichi Suzuki arrives in Kentucky this week to recognize a standout dealer and even a few special customers. Mr. Suzuki's visit comes six weeks into a new year that already has seen company sales jump well ahead of last year's pace with a new company record in January.
On Friday, Feb. 16, Mr. Suzuki will visit Sam Swope Suzuki to honor ASMC’s 100,000th buyer in 2006. The Taylor family of Louisville purchased an all-new, seven-passenger Suzuki XL7 while also unknowingly becoming Suzuki’s 100,000th customer. Mr. Suzuki will honor the Taylors by presenting them a check for $2,006, marking ASMC’s milestone year.
“We are honored to share in this milestone with Suzuki and are proud to be associated with an automaker that is gaining popularity by building quality products at a value price point,” said Dick Swope, president of the Sam Swope Auto Group.
